My original story had something to do with Noemi (the little girl,) on a mission to save her ill grandfather. In the process she gets lost in the woods and befriends Milo, a woodland monster, who has an ability to heal her grandfather.
However, I think the image of Noemi and Milo working together to create something beautiful is an idea that really stuck with me. What if somehow, they found a bucket of paint and changed a once gloomy neighborhood with pretty pictures?
Also, I took the time this weekend to watch Wall-E and study the expressions of Wall-E and Eve because Milo also doesn't have a mouth! Now that I'm learning more about storyboarding/composition, I can't help being blown away by the genius character/story design of Pixar. How do they think of all these little details? I don't think anyone can NOT fall in love with this little outdated robot within the first 10 minutes.
Can't get over how much character can fit into one simple little guy! |
